RELEASE NOTES - TIND 26.1.0 - DA, IR, RDM
We are pleased to announce TIND release 26.1.0. This is a minor release with a some improvements, changes, and bug fixes.
These are mainly small changes and fixes, but please pay attention to the Detail View changes described below, and let us know if you are seeing unexpected changes in your record displays.
A happy announcement is also that the “Legacy Excel” export has now been replaced by a new Excel Report in .xslx format.
The 26.1.0 release schedule is as follows:
> Release 26.1.0 Sandbox & Early Release Instances
> Release 26.1.0 to all TIND instances
[Export | DA, ILS, IR, RDM]
The legacy Excel format that supports concatenated data fields has now been replaced with an export in an updated Excel format (.xlsx). The export is available on all instances where the legacy export was previously configured and is listed in the Export modal as “Report” under the “Excel” header. It is also possible to add a CSV version of the Report export.
While we were at it we made Excel equivalents of the CSV exports available as well, so you can now download both labeled and MARC headed exports in Excel (.xslx) format. Note that these export files cannot be used for record updates or ingestion, as the import requires the CSV format.

[Detail View / IR, RDM]
There were problems with line breaks in labels in the Detail View across several record types, e.g. certain sections in the Holdings records. This required changes in several of the Detail View display templates, both TIND's default templates and local templates. If your display has somehow been affected in an unwanted way, please notify TIND Support for correction.
[Brief View / DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
Users of the Table View Search Display will now find a new option for setting a specific display type as default on the collection level. The system-wide default is the regular List view, but for certain collections where users would benefit from the Table display, this can now easily be set on a collection-per-collection basis. The setting is also inherited from parent to child collections so it can be set on a higher level and applied to all lower-level collections as well.
In a following release, hiding the switch buttons will also be an option, allowing you to set a specific layout as the only option for specific collections.
The facet checkboxes and fulltext search toggle are now identified as buttons rather than form elements. This means that users will be aware that selecting a facet or switching toggles on or off leads to a change of context in the search results list. This means you can now also click anywhere on the facet value in order to select it.
[Translations / DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
Norwegian values in the Language facet has been improved/added
“Administración” has been capitalised in the Spanish interface
“West Flemish” has been added to the Language facet values in Norwegian, French and English
The option that allows admin users to assume the account of another user has been deprecated for security reasons. It will be replaced by a feature which will allow admins to easily assume the access rights of a particular user instead, allowing admins to interact with the system from another user’s point of view, without being able to perform actions on their behalf.
Upper-case file extensions could lead to issues both with displaying and downloading files. Uppercase file extensions will now be automatically converted to lowercase on ingest.
Exports [DA, IR, RDM] : Single-page exports, which is the default for non-logged in users, would return an empty file. The same was true for “limited” exports, which limits an export to max. 5000 records. This has been fixed for both types.
Universal Viewer [DA, IR, RDM] : New files with linked .hocr files would not be searchable due to a problem with running IIIF caching.
