RELEASE NOTES - TIND 1.18.0
We are happy to announce the TIND 1.18.0 release. This is a major feature release with new features, fixes and changes for all products.
The release schedule is as follows:
> Release 1.18.0 Sandbox & Early Release Instances
> Release 1.18.0 to all TIND instances
> 1.18.0 Customer Release Webinar
[Digital Preservation | All Products]
As part of TINDβs ongoing digital preservation initiatives, we are thrilled to introduce support for Archival Information Packages. Archival Information Packages, or AIPs, are described in the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) model and refer to the structural and descriptive container which can form the basis of a digitally preserved object. These packages contain the digital object (or objects) along with descriptive, structural, technical, and administrative metadata.
AIPs can now be directly downloaded as a zip file from the Detailed Record View. This feature will allow users to easily export, manage, and share archival data in external storage or other systems.
Key Highlights
Please note, this is TIND first step towards digital preservation containers. Future improvements are planned for AIPs. This update will be available in our 1.18 release.

[Universal Viewer | RDM
TIND RDM users can now activate the Universal Viewer to display image related content to end users within the record detail view.
Long supported in TIND Digital Archive, the addition of Universal Viewer to RDM will greatly enhance the access of visual research collections such as charts, images, photographs, signs, tables, and more. Making preview options available to end users means users can view content directly in the browser without needing to download files and rendering software directly to their devices.

[Acquisitions | ILS]
When searching for invoices in Global Lists, some invoices were not displaying associated fund codes unless they were saved a second time.
[Acquisitions | ILS]
When editing order lines directly in order forms, the closed funds would not display in the order line edit modal. Closed funds will now display as expected if already assigned to the order line, but it will still not be possible to select closed funds if the field is updated.
[Advanced Search | All Products]
When using the date fields as well as multiple query input lines, the date period would only be applied to the first query line. The date field now applies across the entire query.
[Circulation | ILS]
Returned loans display the oldest due date of the due date history in the availability statement of the brief view regardless of updates to the due date. The current due date will now display in the brief view as well as in the detailed view.
[File Manager | DA, IR, RDM]
When reopening a record with an attached file in a submission form, the restriction of existing files under embargo would not be formatted correctly. This has been fixed to align with other similar displays.
[File Upload | IR, RDM, DA]
The error message displayed when a user attempts to upload a file that exceeds the file limit has now been improved.
[File Upload | IR, RDM, DA ]
The list of file extensions would exceed page limits if many file types were included. This has now been fixed by adding spaces between the extensions, ensuring line break in these instances.
[ISADG Display | DA]
The ISADG section in the Detailed View could in some instances cause the record page to load slowly. The ISADG section will now load asynchronously to the rest of the page to improve load times.
[Record Editor | All]
For users that had updated nicknames in the system, the revision history would display the nickname of a user at the time of revision rather than the current nickname. Now the nickname displayed will instead rely on the user ID, meaning that the current nickname linked to the ID will always be displayed.
[Search | All Products]
Searches including characters with diacritics performed in the new Advanced Search were returning 0 results.
[Search | All Products]
For users with access to restricted collections, the restricted collections would appear twice in the Collection dropdown under the Options menu on the search results page. All collections are now only displayed once.
[Submission Error | IR, RDM, DA]
For certain types of errors upon submitting new records, the users would be presented with a technical error message. This has now been replaced with an option to return to the submission form to retry, and to contact staff should the problem persist.

Invoice Number has been added to the Global List: Items.
