Bugs and problems resolved
Acquisitions [ILS]
Fixes a bug where some Harrassowitz and GOBI order records arrived missing the link to the associated fund. These funds did not appear in the order item and were not encumbered in the regular workflow due to multiple fund codes with the same code. Funds now display as expected.
An acquisitions staff user was unable to retrieve a complete list of funds where multiple funds started with the same numerical string and ended with different letters. All fund strings are now displaying correctly.
Batch Upload [DA, IR, RDM]
Some files were not assigned the correct order when batch uploaded and listed in an XML file. The issue is solved and files now appear in the assigned order according to the XML file.
Circulation [ILS]
Addressed a bug that made it possible to submit hold requests on items with statuses that should be limited. The restrictions are fully in place again.
Displays [DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
Displays have been improved in Chrome and Firefox when browsing or editing catalog records, displaying white text on a white background. The background color now matches the rest of the page, improving contrast and readability.
Export [DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
Improved error messages in Batch Download so it’s more user friendly and easier to understand when and why a file is not available.
File Manager [DA, IR, RDM]
Improved system behavior when multiple tabs are open for the same record and the same file is submitted in more than one tab. A fix has been introduced to block the addition of the additional file submission and notify the end user that additional changes have happened to the record. Users now see that they are not allowed access, and an error message is shown. Access will be regranted after around 5 minutes.
Search [ILS]
When using Global Lists on a mobile device, users were unable to change the pull down menu to select other lists. The menu selector is no longer stuck on the default search and can be changed via touch screen.
A bug related to button component design was affecting the front page search. This has been fixed and search speeds have improved.
Integration [ DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
In addition to the record URLs added to the sitemap used by Google scholar today, TIND has added URLs to the public files. This is currently restricted to PDFs.
Metadata [DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
When activating the audit history functionality and generating audit history data in existing records, the user ID was not always found when updates had been made through submission forms. The system will now correctly find the user and store audit history.
Record Editor [DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
TIND continues to make overall improvements to audit history logging. We now have an optional setting that allows us to configure whether to store any combination of the timestamp and user ID for record creation ($y and $z), intermediate updates ($c and $d) and latest update ($a and $b).
Fixes a problem where staff using the new authority module could use authority lookup functionality but the fields were not consistently auto populating or saving with the selected data. This occurred when using templates in the record editor and adding new records.
Users & Access [DA, IR, RDM, ILS]
Fixes a bug where user email and role did not appear in the alert message when you remove a role from a user. The alert text in the yellow box before confirming now displays the user email and role name.
Changes
Circulation [ILS]
Reduced the number of clicks in the Checkout, New Hold Request, and Patrons modules by automatically directing the cursor to the main search box when loading the page.
